AGRICULTURA
LUSITANA 2015-18

Agricultura Lusitana 2015-18 is an exhibition that transports us to the Aldeias do Xisto territory, pointing directions towards rural development based on Craft+Design+Identity relationships. It includes objects that interpret the Portuguese know-how, memory and cultural identity.

The exhibition is part of the Direção-Geral do Património Cultural program for the celebration of the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

Among the different initiatives that are to be carried out in articulation with the exhibition, the Spring Workshops and a series of basic workshops in traditional handicraft techniques, in areas such as hand weaving and tapestry, dyeing, spinning, pottery and basketwork, are already being held. This educational program, developed by the Museu de Arte Popular in partnership with several specialized craftsmen, is held in the Museum every Saturday between March and June 2018.
