TREE

Set of three stools in chestnut wood that recreate the traditional stools used in the countryside to sit by fire on the coldest winter nights. It was in the evening that families would gather around the embers with some domestic task or craft work, with these small stools always as witnesses of conversations, stories and the imparting of knowledge. A new object which suggests memories of an increasingly distant past.

The pieces combine low and high technology, respectively the manual finishing work and the laser engraving of the image of parts of a tree. The three stools can be joined to form a single bench and then the outline of the tree is complete. Finished with beeswax.
